TASMAN ISLAND

Adventure Cruises

HISTORY

Our Skipper Craig Parsey was only a boy when his father manned some of Tasmania´s remotest lighthouses. Craig unlike many others, was privileged enough to experience the wild and rugged coastline of Tasmania´s deep South West as well as Bruny Island and Tasman Island.

With much foresight and vision and wishing to show others what he had experienced, Craig established Tasman Island cruises eight years ago as an owner operator of his own family business.

Still passionate in his endeavors back then, he is now one of Tasman Island´s most qualified skippers and most frequent visitor. Thanks to Craig, you can understand why this part of the world is rapidly becoming the most talked about Adventure of a lifetime!

VESSEL

TASMAN ISLAND ADVENTURE CRUISES has over the years, operated a number of different craft.

The most recent addition is a purpose built ¨NAIAD¨ specifically for TASMAN ISLAND Similar to NAIAD´s design of the older 3 engine yellow boat that a competitor uses, our vessel has additional and more modern conveniences on board including:

  • Armchair Seating allowing passengers more room and comfort with extra legroom
  • The latest state of the art Navigational equipment - we opted for the very best with your complete safety in mind
  • Superior viewing areas for all on board.
  • 12 Speaker Hydrophone to listen to whales when alongside
  • Larger restroom facilities
  • 4 V8 Yamaha Outboard Motors delivering 1400 Horsepower.

CRUISE DEPARTURE POINT

Traditionally all Tasman Island cruises depart from Eaglehawk Neck (Pirates Bay)

Please view our map and you will see as soon as you depart Pirates bay, the numerous points of interest as you journey down to Tasman Island.

Upon return to Pirates Bay, we go wider in search of whales and common feeding frenzies by Dolphins, Birdlife and Seals.

NOTE: We only offer departures or arrivals at PORT ARTHUR if the weather is/or is becoming inclement.

SAFETY RECORD

As the most established operator we have an impeccable record as compared with any other Cruise operator.

GENUINE 3 HOUR CRUISE

OUR GUARANTEE IS A FULL 3 HOUR CRUISE

That is why our office is close to the common departure point of all Tasman Island cruises and not Port Arthur.

For day visitors to Tasman Peninsula, consider which cruise operator you book with, as in all likelihood with anyone else, you will do a lengthy/unnecessary 40 Km bus transfer from Port Arthur back to Eaglehawk Neck and then back to Port Arthur at the end of your cruise.
